Databricks Data + AI Summit 2024 recap

This month, the ActionIQ team ventured to San Francisco for the highly anticipated Databricks Summit 2024: Data + AI Summit. As the first Composable CDP that supported the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform, we were thrilled to be sponsors of the conference and connect with the global data, analytics and AI community. Our week was full of memorable moments, from our CTO onstage for the MosaicX Meetup to a breakout session in partnership with our customer Atlassian.

Read below as we recap the highlights and key takeaways from our time at the Data + AI Summit.

MosaicX Meetup: San Francisco Edition

ActionIQ’s CTO, Nitay Joffe was thrilled to participate in the MosaicX West Coast Edition Meetup to kick off the week.

Nitay spoke to the benefits of integrating ActionIQ on top of Databricks Data Intelligence Platform via federated query pushdown to achieve improved governance, self-service accessibility for business teams and improved customer experiences.

ActionIQ and Databricks

Nitay took a look under the hood at the models behind some of ActionIQ’s top and new use cases like lookalikes and CXAI, to get better results for customers — with a look at how ActionIQ’s data scientists are testing and improving solutions and functionality that will deliver real impact and become critical data sources for AI models.

Inside the Hybrid Data Strategy Powering Atlassian’s Soaring Growth

ActionIQ’s Chief Product Officer, Justin DeBrabant, took the stage alongside Caleb Trecek, Senior Manager, GTM Platform & Tech Ops at Atlassian, to discuss how the leading software company expanded from Jira to over 15 products that have defined team collaboration. Before adopting ActionIQ, Atlassian struggled with achieving self-service accessibility to data, delivering real-time customer experiences and aligning their data strategy with existing investments.

“Reducing data copy, continuing to improve governance, and driving efficiency are top of mind for our teams,” said Trecek.

By integrating ActionIQ’s Composable CDP, they reduced data duplication, enhanced governance and achieved significant cost efficiencies. This integration led to a +65% speed to market driven by marketers, a +71% increase in beta product registrations and a -7% reduction in media spend through dynamic suppressions.

“What took me 10 minutes to do in [ActionIQ] would have taken four weeks in the previous system,” Trecek added.

This breakout session was just one of the many highlights of the week, demonstrating the impactful collaborations within the Databricks community.
